Influencer and supercar enthusiast Seb Delanney has been a familiar face at Top Marques Monaco since his early years. Now a prominent figure in the world of luxury cars and social media, Seb shares how his lifelong passion for supercars and his journey from a young dreamer to a global influencer have shaped his extraordinary life in Monaco.
Can you describe your morning routine?
Since launching my YouTube career, I’ve rarely stayed still – travel has been constant, so a strict morning routine never took root. I wasn’t into coffee until a couple of years ago, but now it’s a part of my morning rhythm. My goal for the first 45 minutes is simplicity and quiet – no work input, no decisions. I set out clothes the night before, avoid my phone, and step out for a cappuccino walk here in Monaco. It’s my mental buffer – by the time I’m back, I’m recharged and ready to fully engage with the day’s work.
Could you walk us through a typical workday?
It’s hard to give a typical workday, since each one is different – so it’s easier to describe a week. Two days are filming, planned with brands or collectors. One day is admin – emails and contracts. Two days I focus on my business, where I help YouTubers, athletes, and events launch brands in textiles, jewellery, skincare, and beyond. Weekends are often side projects – like renovating an apartment that’s now rented. I’m not too much of a morning person, probably start around nine, but love to work late, I seem to just focus better during the later hours, less distraction, unplanned calls etc… so yeah, that’s how I’d sum up a week if I’m in Monaco, however if I’m travelling for various project everything changes.

When it comes to meals, do you have any favorite spots for lunch or dinner? Or do you prefer cooking at home ?
I love cooking; it pulls me away from screens. With so much time spent editing or on social media, cooking helps to switch off. I sometimes think of it as being like making a YouTube video sometimes, you start with different ingredients that combined lead to a product you can (hopefully) feel proud of. In Monaco, I do love dining out too – Beefbar or Maya Bay are favorites. For drinks, Trinity is always fun; but I do also love hosting friends at home, we used to do F1 lunches at mine for most races, trying to theme them around the location of each race… Should try and find the time to start that up again! My little secret pleasure that I treat myself to at LEAST once a week, especially Sunday evenings, is ordering a curry from Indian Star, (absolute banger if you haven’t tried it yet!)
How did you get started with your YouTube channel?
I was fascinated by cars from a young age, though no one in my immediate family was obsessed, aside from my grandfather. At first, I liked planes, but cars quickly took over. Growing up in the hills above Monaco, I’d see these incredible machines daily. Top Gear came along and fueled that passion. I was always playing with miniature cars and talking about them, probably driving my family crazy. I started filming cars in Monaco streets, sending videos to family in the UK. YouTube became a platform to share these moments. Top Marques was pivotal – it started with me outside, watching test drives, then inside, convincing salesmen to let me sit in cars. Eventually, I went on test drives, experiencing supercars for the first time. That blend of passion and access sparked the journey – what began as sharing with family became building a channel and career.

What’s your favorite project or collaboration you’ve worked on so far?
I was lucky enough to drive a Formula 1 car – as an automotive fan, that’s incredibly special. It was in Portugal, at Portimão, and my family came with me which made it even more special. I didn’t think it would happen at first – when someone approaches you to drive an F1 car, you assume it’ll fall through. Until I was sat in the car, I didn’t believe it. It felt like a full-circle moment, and it’s the project I’m most proud of.
What’s a misconception people have about your job?
The hardest part is staying creative – after making over a thousand videos, generating fresh ideas is tough. When we daily vlogged, it meant filming, editing, thumbnails, and descriptions – every day. YouTube’s algorithm is unforgiving, so any break risks a drop. It’s a dream job, but balancing the fun with that relentless pressure is something people don’t always see (as well as the countless hours behind a screen editing or negotiating contracts.)
As someone who’s often in the public eye, how do you unwind and relax after a busy day?
I started around 14 or 15, so being in the public eye now feels normal. I’ve never really known adult life without it. I don’t feel it limits me; in fact, it lets me meet others who share my passions. To unwind, I keep it simple. I’m extremely close to family – when they’re here, we cook or just spend quality time. When they’re away, we FaceTime regularly. I have a group of friends I play tennis with whenever I need to switch off. Recently, buying a boat has become my ultimate escape. When I’m out at sea, phone down, it’s a rare moment where I feel truly disconnected, and that’s where I find complete peace.
How long has he been coming to Top Marques? Do you enjoying going to shows, and why is TMM different?
I’ve been going to Top Marques since around 2011, maybe earlier – I’ve lost count. It started with me standing outside watching the test drives. Then I got tickets to go inside, and I’d try convincing salespeople to let me sit in cars. Eventually, I went on test drives, and those were some of my first supercar experiences. Top Marques has been a marker of my journey – from a kid dreaming outside to now being fully immersed. I haven’t missed one in at least a decade. Every year, it reminds me how far I’ve come, and that’s why it’s so special to me.

What’s your favorite memory from Top Marques Monaco?
Honestly, there are so many special memories. I remember being in a RUF Porsche with the founder – that was surreal. Meeting the founder of PPI led to my first trip abroad to film cars. But honestly, my favorite memories are walking around Top Marques with my parents as a teenager, eager to show them everything I’d discovered, feeling proud to share that knowledge. Those moments stand out the most.
