Top Marques Monaco : a return to the vintage era

Top Marques Monaco returns to the Principality in June with a dazzling exhibition of exclusive vehicles from yesterday, today and tomorrow.

International supercar show Top Marques is taking place in Monaco from 5 to 9 June at the Grimaldi Forum. Described by the New York Times as ‘the world’s most exclusive auto show’, Top Marques Monaco is THE car show for those who want to buy – or sell – exclusive models.

For its 19th edition, 13 iconic brands have chosen the event as the venue at which to launch their latest models, including Audi, Aston Martin, McLaren, Porsche, Laffite Automobili, Bertone, and the first battery-free electric car, The New Quant, from nanoFlowcell.

But Top Marques is not just a show for cutting-edge supercars. Under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco since its creation in 2004, the show opened its doors to classic cars for its 17th edition, offering luxury car enthusiasts the chance to buy models from all eras at the same show.

This year, more than 60 of the finest sports cars from the 20th century will be exhibited in the Classic Car Hall with highlights including a ‘Flèche d’Argent’ on the stand of the Car Collection of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco in collaboration with the Musée National de l’Automobile in Mulhouse, and a 1967 Lamborghini Miura P400, presented by DPM MOTORS.

The 2nd edition of MonacoCarAuctions’ ‘L’ASTAROSSA™’ sale

Undoubtedly a highlight of Top Marques 2024 will be the 2nd edition of MonacoCarAuctions’ ‘L’ASTAROSSA™’ sale, being held on Saturday June 8th at 3pm. For this occasion, MonacoCarAuctions is gradually unveiling the models that will make up the catalogue for this auction exclusively dedicated to Ferrari. On the programme are a number of classics: models from the 60s, 70s and 80s, as well as every generation of Testarossa, which will enhance a catalogue that aims to be as eclectic as ever this year.

“The flagship models of the 2024 edition include a line-up of 330 GTCs, 365 GTCs, 365 GTC/4s, 365 GT2+2s and a 275 GTS. The latter, a certified Ferrari Classiche with just 3,500 km on the clock since its complete restoration, took part in the legendary Concours d’Élégance at Villa d’Este,” said MonacoCarAuctions founder Laurent Blomet yesterday.

“Finally, MonacoCarAuctions will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Testarossa by offering all the generations of this model: “monospecchio” and its unique rear-view mirror, “monodado”, 5-bolt, 512 TR and the rare F512 M will be under the glass roof of the Grimaldi Forum. Of course, the list doesn’t end there, as around sixty lots will go under the hammer on 8 June.”

The 19th edition of Top Marques Monaco will kick off at 8pm on 5 June with a preview cocktail party, before the official opening at 10am on 6 June.
