Former F1 driver and Top Marques partner Thierry Boutsen has been named as an Ambassador of Gentleman Car, official importers of the legendary US brand Shelby.

Thierry, who is partnering Top Marques in its new classic car venture, will represent the prestigious marque in Monaco and on the French Riviera.

The Belgian former racing driver competed in 164 F1 Grands Prix, winning three and achieving 15 podiums. In 1997 Thierry reconverted as a private jet specialised broker through his company Boutsen Aviation. But he recently returned to the domaine of the automobile, founding Boutsen Classic Cars in 2019.

"It is with great pride that the Belgian company Gentleman Car, official importer of Shelby Cobra, Cobra Daytona and CS GT 40 "continuations" welcomes Thierry Boutsen as official Ambassador," a spokesman for the company said.

"As a big fan of torque packed V8s, Thierry Boutsen is the ideal partner to represent this prestigious brand in Monaco and on the Riviera. He will be happy to guide Shelby enthusiasts in the search for their mechanical dreams."
