Top Marques Monaco would like to present you some of the new superstars that will headline our fifth edition in April 2008: CONCEPT CLIMAX UK The Concept Climax is the brainchild of two graduates who studied Automotive Design at Coventry University and formed Concept Climax Ltd during their studies. They have created a two-seater sports car that can run on ethanol fuel and offers performance figures similar to other super cars. “We wish to bring Coventry back into the automotive limelight by reinventing the British Sports Car,” says Concept Climax M.D Simon Long. “Inspiration for the design came from the legendary Cooper Climax F1 car of the 50’s…” The car is all about the driving experience – the deliberately designed out roof evokes memories of classic Le Mans type race cars, complete with flip up aero – screens and a Climax Control that can boost the cars performance whilst driving. The Climax is mainly constructed from Aluminium by very skilled panel beaters who form the exterior by hand with great attention to detail. BEBI Quercianella - Sweden The BEBI Quercianella leads the new generation of green super cars where lightweight is the buzzword. A supercharged and very light gasoline or ethanol powered 500 Hp V8 makes the 650 kg carbon fibre design a true and single-minded instrument for advanced driving. An extremely rigid carbon fibre monocoque makes sure that the BEBI/Öhlins pushrod suspension will perform at its best. Performance is wild, but the lightweight concept, aerodynamics and non compromise chassis design makes sure you can use it without being a fully trained racing driver. The name Quercianella is a tribute to the genius and father of the Ferrari 250 GTO, engineer Giotto Bizzarrini, who designed the basic BEBI chassis concept. Quercianella is the Tuscan village where he once grew up. HYBRID TECHNOLOGIES - USA LIX-75 GT Hand built carbon fibre supercar, ready to change the way the world looks at electric power. Hybrid Technologies has created a platform aimed at surpassing current electric sports cars with the use of a highly advanced battery management system, along with a proprietary battery balancing system. The L1X-75 GT incorporates safety elements that are presently incorporated into Hybrid's consumer products such as the New York City Taxi and the NASA Smart Car used at Kennedy Space Center. The L1X-75 GT has a equivalent horse power rating of 600 hp and a 0-60 in 3.2 seconds ( * on track pre-order testing) The vehicle has a complete electric drive system and can be appointed in a series of interiors styles from a race mockup to a luxury version. Hybrid will be releasing the most advanced electric vehicle on the market, the $600,000 USD named the “X” ' LINX M2Linx Design is a new European car manufacturer that presents worldwide a new concept of the luxurious super car LINX. The R has suspensions forged in Avional, a new Pagani six-speed transversal sequential gearbox, a carbon fibre monocoque, an aeronautical four-pump fuel tank, all of which are only part of the equation. Earth-Shattering News: SSC Ultimate Aero Twin Turbo Runs 255.83 Miles Per Hour to Break Production Car World Speed Record The Ultimate Aero posted a top speed of 257.11 mph (413.83 kph) on its first pass and 254.55 mph (409.71 kph) on its return pass, yielding a new top speed record: a staggering 255.83 mph (411.76 kph).
