TOP MARQUES MONACO 2007

With the aim of achieving the ultimate supercar show, Top Marques Monaco 2007 goes interactive to become the Only Live Supercar Show in the World! The fourth edition at the Grimaldi Forum from 19th to 22nd April 2007 is already a sold-out event (with many manufacturers still knocking at the door) and promises to be a stellar show, indeed! Alongside the fabulous exhibition of supercars inside the Grimaldi Forum, outside will be the excitement generated by the motors of over 30 supercars in the new Top Marques Pits, which will be metamorphosed into a noisy arena where the most exclusive supercars in the world will be available for test drives (by invitation only) on the intricate Grand Prix circuit of Monte-Carlo. Visitors from the four corners of the globe are already booking their arrival, and many supercar owners are joining us for a chance of getting behind the wheels of the test drive cars in the wonderful Principality of Monaco!

Seeing is believing! But don’t be misled by the elegance, sleekness, class, and futuristic beauty of the stars of the show, for nothing can surpass them when it comes to hi-technology, top performance, super power and speed!

Keeping in line with its mission of presenting the most exciting, exclusive and fastest cars ever assembled under one roof, Top Marques 2007 will also host a number of WORLD and EUROPEAN PREMIERES, among which are the following:

Weber (Switzerland)
Achieving 250 mph (400 kmh) is one of the ultimate goal. The weight of this super car will be 2500 pounds (1100 kg), including air conditioner, power windows, GPS and stereo system. The body is made completely out of carbon and the chassis is completely made from high density aluminium. The car has a 7.2L supercharged engine, its own fabricated 6-speed sequential gearbox changes the gears in 80ms; it has an intelligent all-wheeldrive and will accelerate in 2.5s from 0-100 Kmh. 18 constructors, all from Formula 1, are guaranteed for the latest technology this car possesses. The complete car is manufactured by Weber Sportcars in Switzerland.

The aerodynamic tuning is probably the most important feature of any supercar. Our technicians have spent a long time with the optimism. Over a period of nine months new models were designed again and again. The perfect result can be now shown! Reaching the finale speed of over 400 km/h is guaranteed.

Caparo (UK)
The ultimate Sports Car! A car that ‘breaks all the rules’ – amazing performance, amazing construction and amazing price tags make Caparo utterly amazing cars. Capable of producing enough downforce at 150 miles an hour to drive upside down, the T1 uses adjustable wings (front and rear), a diffuser, and fowler flaps to increase its adhesion to the road. The Caparo T1, designed by two ex-McLaren engineers, is based around the principle that it should be a completely uncompromised sports car, with no concessions to everyday drivability or luxury.

Fighter Turbo(UK)
World premier of the staggering new supercar from Bristol Cars, expected for first deliveries in September 2007. The Fighter T has a twin turbocharged and inter-cooled 8-litre V10 engine developing an earth-shuddering 1,012bhp at 5,600rpm and 1,036lb ft of torque at 4,500rpm. Maximum speed has been electronically limited to 225mph instead of its potential 270mph. Transmission is a six-speed manual ‘box with increased torque capacity. The wheels are 19in aluminum alloy five-spoke affairs. This little slice of England sports a price-tag of £350,000.

Gumpert Apollo (Germany)
The most daring supercars built around Audi components. Powered by a twin turbo Audi V8, its carbon fiber body sits atop a chrome metal and steel frame that supports an RS6 engine cranked out to 650 bhp. It has a 6-speed transmission, a twin clutch system attached to a suspension setup and much down force as a DTM car. Its huge breaks hide behind its 19-inch center-lock wheels. The new Gumpert Apollo is a purely high-performance sports car with racing qualities, approved for use on the road.

Mosler (USA)
Created by Mosler Automotive in Florida, the MT900S is the US street legal version of the successful race car that won the 2003 British GT Championship. The aerodynamically designed composite bodywork is fitted with a nose spliteer as well as an adjustable rear wing. It possesses an advance honeycomb centre chassis and interior to provide enormous structural strength, but is still the ultra lightweight performance vehicle that sets new standards.

Pagani (Italy)
This is the new jewel in the Zonda family: fast open top monitoring at its best; handbuilt in a limited run of 25 models. It offers the outstanding drivability and performance of the 7 Coupé. The original roof is made of fiber and cloth (removable in a few seconds). Beauty and power merge together into something special. With its aerodynamic and sinuous bodywork, elegant lines, extraordinary potential, this handcrafted jewel is one of the fastest, most exclusive and powerful roadsters in the world!

Venturi (Monaco)
With 3.6 sqm of photovoltaic cells giving an exceptional yield of 21%, and covered by a film composed of nano-prisms enabling denser concentration of solar energy, Astrolab is the first high-performance solar vehicle to be commercialized in the world. With a top speed of 120 km/h and autonomy of 110 km, Astrolab is a real "Solar Commuter making extensive trips on a daily basis. Designed like a Formula 1, it uses a very light carbon monocoque chassis serving as an oversized protection cell. Its profile recalls the aqua-dynamic design of great racing yachts. With Astrolab, Venturi has given priority to the solar solution as its energy conversion technology. Within a 30-year perspective, Venturi is the only automobile manufacturer capable of presenting such a solution while ensuring new driving sensations and an essential aspect of automobiles: the dream."
