Virago Cars was formed in 2005 - with one purpose - to bring to market a 2-seat sports coupé in low volume production in the UK - and launch a new iconic brand in the process.
An existing custom-build vehicle’s design rights were procured, and a development plan is in progress currently to productionise the vehicle for larger volume manufacture, whilst creating feature-packed derivatives.
Whilst the 230 bhp V6 engine unit delivers 0-62mph performance of c 5.6 seconds, the 280 bhp unit is expected to attain c 5.3 seconds, top speed limited to 155mph.
Vehicle prices will be commensurate with prestige performance sports cars in the market, with a range of features and performance packages, with added low-volume uniqueness and image. Only 80-120 vehicles will be built in the first year of new production.
Virago Cars is commencing manufacture of the Coupé in 2008-09 in new facilities, and is currently taking Sales, UK Dealership, Export, and further Investor inquiries (private, single or syndicated).
