TOP MARQUES MONACO 2005 AWARDED TEN OUT OF TEN
Top Marques Monaco, held from 5th to 8th May 2005, was awarded ten out of ten by the Monagasque press. The show, opened by “007” Roger Moore, proved a great success with over 7,000 high net worth visitors viewing an amazing mix of luxury cars and rare supercars. Many orders were taken by the exhibitors ranging from the world’s ultimate supercar, the 400 kph Bugatti Veyron to the eccentric three wheel Carver. The show was also the launch pad for a number of new car premieres including the a.d.Tramontana, the Wiesmann GT and the MB roadcar.
The concept of Top Marques is not only to exhibit luxury and supercars but also to promote other luxury brands through exhibitors and sponsors. These included exhibitors such as Vertu, Akris, Geoffrey Parker and Vanity Jewels combined with sponsors: Citigroup Private Bank, Cavendish White, Knight Frank, ProAir and Societe des Bains de Mer.
In addition to the show there were a number of events held during the show:
These included a Celebrity Lunch held at the Salle Empire, Hotel de Paris. A number of the supercars were displayed in Casino Square causing quite a stir! The celebrity speaker was Tiff Needell, who is an ex racing driver and now presents the UK television show, Fifth Gear.
A cocktail party was held at the Grimaldi Forum for the exhibitors and guests and this was hosted by the Monaco Tourist Board.
Cavendish White provided a 150 foot yacht called Masquerade for the exclusive use of Top Marques Monaco during the show and a number of lunches and cocktail parties were held on board for the sponsors and their VIP guests.
